Lautaro Javier Martínez (born 22 August 1997), better known as Lautaro, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays primarily as a striker for Serie A club Inter Milan, which he captains, and the Argentina national team. Widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world, Martínez is known for his prolific goalscoring, link-up play, and positioning inside the box.^[8]

In 2015, Martínez began his career in his native Argentina with Racing Club. He spent four seasons with the club and represented them in the Argentine league and Copa Libertadores, scoring 28 goals in 60 appearances. In 2018, he joined Inter Milan, where he won two league titles, the latter of which saw him being named Serie A Most Valuable Player and being Serie A top scorer. Martínez also won two Coppa Italia titles with Inter, and reached the finals of the 2020UEFA Europa League and the 2023UEFA Champions League.
